Girls - After six seasons of following the lives of four Brooklyn twenty-somethings, the HBO show, Girls, has finally come to an end. Girls is a show that I have many feelings about. First I dislike most of the characters, I have mixed feelings about Lena Dunham (the writer, creator and actor on the show), and last, the show offers some of the best writing on television. There is at least one episode each season that I can't stop thinking about, and even with conflicting feelings I can't deny how talented Dunham, and the writers of the show are. There has been controversy over the years about how white-washed the show is and that for a place as culturally and racially diverse as Brooklyn, Girls only focuses on the stories of white characters who in many ways aid to the gentrification of the area.  This last season was exceptionally well done and I felt it wrapped up the series in a way that was true to where all the characters would find themselves six years later.

All six seasons of Girls are available on HBO GO, HBO NOW, and Amazon Video (Click above for a special offer for a free month of Prime Video! Prime Video now has monthly memberships! You can watch thousands of movies & TV shows anytime, including HBO shows like Girls for just $9 a month!
