TV/Movies
iZombie - One of my favorite shows on tv! From the executive producer of Veronica Mars, (another favorite of mine!), iZombie is about Olivia "Liv' Moore (pun intended), a Type-A, medical resident, who gets turned into a zombie one night at a party. She then begins working in the coroner's office to access the brains she must reluctantly eat. A side-effect of eating the brains however is she inherits both the corpse's memories, and personality traits, which she uses to help a police detective, solve homicides. If you're a fan of shows like Pushing Daises, Psych, Veronica Mars, then iZombie is the show for you. It has really smart writing, dark-humor and is self-referencing, are all qualities that I love in a television show. Also Liv's transition from human to zombie seemed to me like a spot-on allegory of what it's like to survive a trauma like sexual assault. The portrayal of having to come out of a zombie-like depression and state, and learn how to keep living, despite what you've endured, was very well done. I would highly recommend iZombie which available on CW (online), Netflix (seasons 1 & 2), and Amazon Video (All three seasons)!
