Bridal Skin Care Products

As I mentioned in my last post about my skincare and beauty routine (Ileke & Beauty: Old and New Beauty Products), I have combination skin, dealing mostly with an oily nose, cheeks and forehead, but then I also have dry areas, specifically in between my eyebrows. I also deal with larger pores and dark circles under my eyes. With four months to go to the wedding, I've adjusted my skin care routine a bit and I am feeling pretty happy with the results!

The thing that I credit the most for good skin/healthy body is WATER. It's basically all that I drink and I have at least 5 glasses throughout the day. I also change my pillowcase every two days, in an effort to keep my skin in its best shape.

Michael Todd Beauty

Soniclear Petite - As a previous Clarisonic Mia 2 user, I was a bit hesitant about switching over to a new cleansing brush. However, after reading reviews for Michael Todd's Soniclear, I took the plunge during a recent sale. I am hooked on this device, and it's now a normal part of my beauty routine. Compared to the Mia, this device is cheaper, doesn't require a constant change of the brush head four times a year (which would end up being $30+ every few months!)

Michael Todd Beauty

The Soniclear's antimicrobial brush stays fresh longer, only requiring you to change it twice a year! The battery life for the Soniclear is amazing, requiring charging every two to three months (This is with almost daily use!) Also Michael Todd's customer service is fantastic, with responses to any questions within a couple of hours. Click the banner above for 20% off your order!

Peet Rivko Products

Daily Moisturizer - This is my favorite moisturizer ever! It's so lightweight and gentle on my skin, which is great because I tend to use it twice daily. I apply it after I wipe my face with a warm, wet washcloth in the morning, and then in the evening after I've used my Soniclear Petite and a cleanser to remove my makeup. It offers long-lasting hydration and soothes the skin with natural ingredients derived from shea butter, aloe, and jojoba.

Gentle Cleanser - I alternate between this cleanser and my Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, to remove my makeup at the end of the day or after working out. Similar to its moisturizing counterpart the Peet Rivko gentle cleanser is designed for sensitive skin and formulated with aloe vera, comfrey, and green tea, Its a non-foaming cream cleanser, but it still removes daily grime and excess oil while maintaining natural pH and oil balances. It leaves my skin super soft and smooth without that tight, stripped clean feeling.

Glossier

I am a completely obsessed with Glossier's products and will hype them up any chance that I get! They are gentle, super light, don't clog up my pores or break out my skin. They really stick to their motto "Skin First, Makeup Second."

Priming Moisturizer - The moisturizer similar to the one from Peet Rivko light and smooth. I usually use this one days where I will be wearing a bit more makeup because its a bit more "heavier" and it is buildable so you can put on as much as needed depending on the weather (more dry in winter or humid in summer). It works like a primer in that it smooths your skin before you apply your makeup.

Milky Jelly Cleanser - The milky jelly cleanser is the perfect makeup remover because it literally melts your makeup off, even stubborn eye makeup! The pH-balanced, creamy gel formula is made with a blend of five skin conditioners so your face is left feeling healthy and soft, never tight. Its cleansing power comes from the same gentle cleaning agents found in contact lens solution, so it’s tough on impurities and still safe to use on your eyes.

Super Glow - I use super glow, which is a Vitamin C and magnesium blend serum, on days when I need a bit more glow because my skin looks dull or tired (usually days I don't get a full night of sleep!) It has a water-like texture which you can apply all over skin with your fingertips right before moisturizing.

Dr. Bronner's Products

Pure CastIle Bar Soap - As I mentioned before in my last beauty product post, this is my every day, body soap. So far I have tried Peppermint, Almond, Citrus, Tea Tree, Rose scents. They also have Baby Unscented, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Cherry Blossom, and Green Tea! It's incredibly moisturizing, nourishing and smells incredibly good. My fiancé was the one who turned me on to Dr. Bronner's products, and he actually uses the soap as a face wash as well as a body soap. So it's not only for ladies! I would highly recommend it!

Organic Shaving Soap - The newest member of my beauty routine arsenal, the organic shaving soap is amazing! It took a bit to get used to as someone who has always shaved with shaving cream, however the switch over wasn't too bad. The shaving soap has a liquid texture and a little bit goes a long way since it lathers up. It gives you a super close shave that lasts a few days! As someone with darker skin, I feel like it's also helped reduce the appearance of darkness in my underarms from shaving. A must have for anyone who is trying to avoid as many harmful chemicals as possible! It comes in five different scents (Lemongrass Lime, Lavender, Peppermint, Unscented and Tea Tree) so far I have tried Peppermint and I love it!

I'd like to hear about your beauty care routine! What products do you use? You can comment below or you can reach me on FacebookInstagram or email
