Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who's about to become the youngest Congresswoman ever this January, is taking some time for self-care. The Congresswoman-elect took to her Instagram stories on Monday to let her followers known she'd be starting a week of self-care, though she admitted she doesn't really know how to do that or what it entails.
Self care is so important, and I know that so many people struggle with the idea of taking time for yourself, especially when there is an endless list of things that need to be done. It’s so important though for mental health, physical health and overall well-being. Senator Ocasio-Cortez is such an inspiration in so many ways and I’m glad to see she’s promoting well-being and health!

I’ve tried my hand at sweet potato cinnamon rolls before that didn’t really turn out as well as I had hoped. I really want to try making this recipe during my holiday break & I know they will make the perfect Christmas morning treat!
Jaclyn Peters Design - Highway 206
As we continue on our house hunt there is endless inspiration to be found on Pinterest. I came across this white and dark green kitchen, and instantly knew this is what our kitchen is going to look like. I love the open shelving and the glass cabinets, and the pop of color that the Turkish rug adds to the room!
