Galentine's Day Inspired Cocktails

Galentine's Day Inspired Cocktails

If you've been following along with me over the years, you will know that one "holiday" that I love celebrating is Galentine's Day! You can read all about my Galentine's Day celebrations over the past few years here. Tonight I am going to be celebrating with a couple of girlfriends over dinner, and I figured it's the perfect time to think of some festive, Galentine's inspired cocktails for the occasion! I found three super easy recipes (named after songs by two of my "in my head" celebrity Galentines, Beyoncé and Rihanna) that I think you and your Galentines will enjoy too!

Kalimotxo is a Basque-inspired sangria-like drink that is equal parts cola and red wine served with lots of ice! Though you wouldn't expect cola and wine to go together, it's super refreshing and the caffiene from the cola provides a pick me up if you're doing a bit of day drinking.

Prep Time: 5 mins

Ready In: 5 mins

1. Fill a glass with ice cubes.

2. Pour in wine and cola and garnish with a slice of orange or lemon.

Optional: Squeeze some orange or lemon juice in the drink!

Barefoot Sweet Red Wine

Ice Cubes (For Serving)

Blood Orange Slice

Also known as Kalimotxo

What's My Name?

Between the color and the bubbles, this refreshing lemonade is super fun and festive! The elderflower and rose lemoade add such a surprisingly delightful taste, that you honestly could just drink it by itself!

Prep Time: 5 mins

Total Time: 5 mins

1. Add shot of vodka and lime juice to a cocktail glass

2. Top with the lemonade and garnish with a slice of lime.

1 oz of Our/Detroit Vodka

Belvoir Elderflower & Rose Lemonade

Good Girl Gone Bad

If you love punch and fruity beverages then this is the one for you! I love the fact that you can substitute the berries for ice and the spiced rum and ginger beer give it a bit of a spicy flavor!

Prep Time: 5 mins

Total Time: 5 mins

1. Pour the rum, pomegranate juice, Cointreau, and ginger beer into a large jug. Stir to mix.

2. Fill glass with frozen berries (add ice too if desired)

3. Fill the glass with the cocktail and then top with a few fresh raspberries and a sprig of fresh thyme.

4. Serve and Enjoy!

1.5 oz Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum

.075 oz Stonewall Pomegranate Cosmo Mixer

0.5 oz Fentiman's Ginger Beer

1 oz Cointreau

1 cup Frozen Berries (Optional in place of ice)

0.5 cup Fresh Raspberries

Fresh Thyme
