Week in Review: July 13th 2018
Hey Friends! It's been a while. I hope you're doing well. This summer has been BUSY for us. For the past eight weeks, I've had endless social engagements, from weddings, graduations, bridal showers, etc. It's been a lot of fun, seeing family and friends but I'm also ready to have some time to myself.
With the state of things in this country, it's been hard to feel motivated/inspired, but I think it's so important to stay clued into what's happening and understand the motives and actions of those who represent us in government. I urge all of you who are in the U.S. to register to vote (Here) and if you are already registered to make sure you go out and vote Tuesday, November 6th!

I've been terrible at keeping up with the challenge in a timely manner but I am still committed to reading all the books, hopefully before the decade is over! Most recently I read Tomi Adeyemi's Children of Blood and Bone, the first in her Legacy of the Orisha series. It is an excellent sci-fi/fantasy/action book based around the Yoruba Gods/Goddesses and Religion. It instantly hooks you in, with the well-written characters and colorful story.
